Guidance

The Counseling Office is here to support the students of Ketchikan High School. We want to provide a safe place for students to receive counseling for personal and academic problems. We have four dedicated counselors specializing in fields such as social work, psychology and drug abuse assistance. It is imperative that students understand that all staff members work with a strict code of confidentiality. Counselors help students with transitions (from middle school to high school), time management, study skills, learning techniques, graduation requirements, college selection and career exploration.

Post-Graduation

The Counseling Office is also dedicated to helping students search for post-graduation options such as employment, apprenticeships and college. Staff members are readily available to help students improve their resumes, cover letters, apply for college and much more. Counselors also act as liaisons between the students and community organizations that focus on vocational trainning and/or job placement.
