  • Morgan Fawcett to Speak at the Discovery Center

    Everyone in our community is affected by Fetal Alcohol Syndrome either directly or indirectly. You are invited to join Tlingit speaker, Morgan Fawcett, as he shares his story about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder on Sunday, February 19, from 5-7 at the Southeast Alaska Discovery Center. A renowned Native American flute player, he will share his music and his message that those with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome can use music as a healing alternative to alcohol.   • Elizabeth Peratrovich

    The Elizabeth Peratrovich Family Celebration Day on February 11th, hosted by Alaska Native Brotherhood and Sisterhood, began with the "Welcome Song" by Fawn Mountain preschool students. Featured at the Discovery Center is the wave of hands that all of the students from Fawn Mountain contributed. Thanks to Ms Tandra, Ms Sharon, Ms Sarah and Ms Melissa!

    If your child is going to be absent from school, for any reason, please call the school office first thing in the morning (907)228-2203. When a student is absent, only the office can change the status to "excused."  Thank you
